The journey towards Gokyo Lakes begins from Kathmandu towards Lulka with a scenic flight of about 25 minutes. What is Gokyo Ri in Gokyo lake trek?

Gokyo lakes comprises 6 fresh water lakes, fed with glaciers around the Khumbu Region. The Gokyo Lakes lie in the Sagarmatha National Park Zone that is situated at a range of 4,700 meter to 5,000 meter altitude. This range hosts several flora and fauna and fresh lakes, water and also glacier streams. These lakes have crystal clear water and appear to be clear blue.
The six major lakes of the Gokyo Lakes are Thonak Lake, Gokyo Cho, Gyazumpa Lake, Tanjung Cho, Ngojumba Lake and Gokyo Lake.
