Your destination on the first day of the tour is Kerung. On this day, you will take a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Tibet Kerung.  You will witness beautiful views of lush hills, terrace farms, serene river and picturesque settlements.

The drive to Kerung is adventurous as it passes through the narrow roads and finally takes you to the beautiful Syabrubesi. Soon afterward, you will witness steep cliffs and deep gorges and arrive in Rasuwagadhi. Then, you will finally make it to the border area.

After reaching Kerung, you will show the permits and documents at the immigration center. After completing all the formalities you will then drive towards Kerung. The roads leading to Lhasa from Kathmandu are generally in good condition. The roads are well maintained in most of the sections. You will have a convenient and smooth drive throughout the journey. There can be some sections that are bumpy especially if the roads are under construction, but the majority of the roads on the Tibetan side are in great condition.

During the tour, you can find laundry services, mostly in the town side areas. However, you have to pay an additional charge for getting the services and the services can be limited especially in remote areas.

The time can vary according to the weather conditions but typically, within 1 and half hours, you will land in Kathmandu airport.
